As promised, today another idea for an original culi-gift: an empty jam jar filled with delicious flavored sea salt. Simply tie a small Christmas-ornament around the jar to turn it into a cute little present.
This time, I adjusted our recipes for lemon-thyme salt and chili-salt a little. Instead of lemon zest, I used lime zest. And I replaced the dried chili peppers with some fresh Scotch Bonnet peppers. It will give you fragrant and beautifully colored salts. Make sure to let the salt dry on a baking-tray overnight, before you put it in a jar, or it will become rancid.
